In the first nine months of 2024, Quang Ninh Province attracted 15.6 million visitors, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2023 and achieving 98.1% of its nine-month growth target. Tourism revenue is estimated at VND 36.856 trillion, up 39% year-on-year, reaching 97.8% of the projected growth scenario.

As part of Quang Ninh Province's efforts to achieve its 2024 tourism target of 19 million visitors—including 15.5 million domestic and 3.5 million international tourists, with total revenue reaching VND 46.46 trillion—the province will introduce two new international flight routes to Van Don International Airport beginning in October 2024.

The robust recovery of Vietnam's tourism sector, coupled with the enactment of new laws, is providing a significant impetus for the resurgence of resort real estate in the latter half of 2024.

The People's Committee of Quảng Ninh Province has recently approved the Urban Development Program for Vân Đồn District through 2030, with a vision toward 2040. This program outlines a roadmap to elevate Vân Đồn to city status by 2030.
