Quang Ninh Starts Construction Of Key Projects Worth Nearly VND 10,000 Billion In The Van Don Economic Zone
On the morning of April 30, 2022, Quang Ninh province held a Groundbreaking Ceremony and awarded investment decisions for key projects in Van Don Economic Zone.

Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don tourism, resort, and entertainment complex (VND 3,612 billion); Ao Tien - Cat Linh Van Don luxury hotel and apartment complex (VND 3,910.8 billion); Hotel and resort package under the project of Sonasea Van Don Harbour City tourism resort complex - Division 1 (VND 1,000 billion); Van Don industrial cluster (VND 486.37 billion). Another project that received the investment policy decision is a premium furniture factory in the Van Don Economic Zone (VND 984 billion).

Thus, with four projects under construction and one receiving an investment policy today, the total capital is nearly 10,000 billion VND (about 430 million USD).

The Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don tourism, resort and entertainment complex project is developed by Everland Van Don Joint Stock Company in Ao Tien high-class port and tourist urban area. The project includes 5 buildings of 28 to 33 stories, with the goal of being a hotel and apartment building, as well as a 4-story mixed-use building with areas for entertainment, events, conferences, tourism, and commercial services.

The project will be built in 42 months and completed and put into operation by December 2025, according to the plan. When the project is finished, there will be approximately 2,274 hotel rooms, serving approximately 5,000 guests per day and night. Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Management Board of the Van Don Economic Zone, spoke at the event and praised the Van Don District People's Committee and the Management Board of the Van Don Economic Zone for their efforts in renovating planning work, improving the business environment, implementing administrative reform, and gaining the trust of investors and businesses.

According to Mr. Huy, this event also demonstrates the determination of businesses and investors to gradually transform Van Don Economic Zone into a multi-sectoral and multi-sector marine economic zone; a gateway for international trade of unique, high- quality products with reputable brandnames and international competitiveness; and a green, modern, smart, and sustainable island city.
