Quang Ninh: Inauguration Of Two VND Thousand Billion Works To Complete Van Don District’s Infrastructure
On the occasion of the 59th anniversary of Quang Ninh province, a ceremony was held on October 30 in Van Don Economic Zone (EZ) in Quang Ninh province to inaugurate and put into operation the Ao Tien high-class port and the main trunk road of Cai Rong urban area (phase 2).

These are two key traffic projects in Van Don district in particular and Quang Ninh province in general, contributing to a more synchronized and comprehensive transportation system in Van Don EZ in terms of roads, air, and sea.

Ao Tien high-class port (Ha Long commune, Van Don district) has a total investment capital of more than VND 610 billion, funded by Mai Quyen Tourism Company Limited. This is a specialized passenger port that serves tourist transport on the Van Don route (from Van Don district to the islands) as well as attractions on Bai Tu Long Bay and Ha Long Bay.

The project, which is synchronized, modern, and integrated with numerous utilities, spans nearly 30 ha, with 5.9 ha of land and the rest being water surface.

The project includes five berths, two main berths 20 meters wide and 150 meters long that can accommodate fishing vessels with up to 300 seats, and three auxiliary berths for yachts and smaller ships. The ship lock zone can accommodate 150 passenger ships at once. The passenger terminal area has a usable area of 8,000 m2, a designed capacity of 2,600,000 visitors per year for the 2020-2025 period, and can be expanded to 3,200,000 visitors per year in 2025-2030, and is integrated with many functional subdivisions and utilities such as passenger pickup, ticketing, waiting room, and other accompanying services.

When completed, the Ao Tien high-class port will serve as not only a tourist service infrastructure and a new connection gateway but also as a meeting place for super cruise ships, achieving the province's goal of improving the service quality.

This is also a significant event that inspires people and strategic investors to continue expanding business activities in Van Don. For example, Crystal Holidays Tourism Joint Stock Company, one of the first businesses to launch value-added services in Ao Tien International Port, opened multiple booths in the building's lobby to offer products and services.

Crystal Holiday's food and beverage booths include a booth introducing premium Song Kieu bird's nest products, a King Coffee franchised beverage booth, a Crystal Souvenir shop, a Crystal Beach Fashion shop, a Meta Juice stall, and many others. "And this is the first retail store chain in many other store chains that will be opened and operated by Crystal Holidays”, said a Crystal Holidays executive.

On the same occasion, Crystal Holidays launched and put into operation luxury cruise tours to bring tourists premium services on luxury cruise ships to Bai Tu Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, including overnight tours and day tours.
