This project is among more than 200 key developments nationwide selected for inauguration or groundbreaking ceremonies in celebration of the Congress. The event was attended by representatives of central ministries and agencies, leaders of Quang Ninh Province and Van Don Special Zone, as well as contractors, partners, banks, investors, local residents, and media representatives.
A New Resort Landmark in Van Don Special Zone
Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don is currently the largest high-end tourism, resort, and entertainment complex in Van Don, with a total investment exceeding VND 5,600 billion. The project comprises five hotel and serviced apartment towers ranging from 28 to 34 floors, along with a 1,500-seat international convention center and a fully integrated system of amenities including a commercial center, retail spaces, restaurants, cinema, infinity pool, four-season pool, marina, and natural beach.
Phase I brings into operation Towers A and B, offering nearly 1,000 five-star standard accommodation units. Supporting infrastructure, landscaping, commercial and service facilities, and F&B components have been completed in synchronization, meeting international operational standards.
Guest rooms are designed in an elegant neo-classical style, harmoniously combining aesthetics, functionality, and resort experience. The accommodation portfolio is diverse, ranging from Deluxe, Hollywood Deluxe, Family Suite, and Grand Deluxe to Sky Villas and Presidential Suites with private pools—ensuring the ability to meet a wide range of guest preferences. Thanks to its prime dual-seafront location, most units offer direct panoramic views of Bai Tu Long Bay, delivering a true “resort immersed in marine nature” experience.

The complex is managed and operated by Centara Hotels & Resorts, an international hospitality brand under Thailand’s Central Group, with extensive experience in managing five-star resort developments across Asia. This partnership ensures professional and systematic operations, continuous service quality enhancement, and enriched guest experiences.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Dinh Vinh, Chairman of Everland Group and representative of the developer, emphasized: “The project is not only a new symbol of Van Don’s tourism landscape but also a testament to the developer’s vision, determination, and strong commitment to Van Don’s future development.”
He further affirmed the investor’s commitment to working closely with local authorities and communities to advance tourism development in a manner that harmonizes economic, social, and environmental interests, toward a green, clean, friendly, and sustainable future for Van Don tourism.
A Catalyst for Local Tourism Infrastructure Development
According to the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, in the first ten months of 2025, the province welcomed over 18.43 million visitors, marking a 21% year-on-year increase. Visitor arrivals to Van Don alone reached nearly 2 million, significantly exceeding targets. The rapid growth in tourist numbers has placed considerable pressure on accommodation infrastructure, particularly in the high-end segment.
The operation of Phase I of Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don is therefore considered timely, helping alleviate peak-season supply shortages in the local tourism market.

Beyond serving as a new accommodation hub, Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don is expected to become a key destination for M.I.C.E. travelers, corporate groups, and long-stay family visitors, thanks to its comprehensive service ecosystem. This will enhance Van Don’s capacity to receive and serve visitors within the broader tourism landscape of Vietnam and the region.
The project provides an important foundation for diversifying tourism products, extending average length of stay, and increasing per capita visitor spending in the locality.
At the ceremony, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy shared: “The inauguration and operation of Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don will supplement high-quality accommodation supply, create large-scale service and entertainment highlights, and contribute to attracting high-value visitor flows to Van Don and Bai Tu Long Bay.”

The operation of a large-scale tourism complex will also stimulate related sectors such as F&B, transportation, retail, marine tours, event services, and local specialty products. This generates direct supply-chain spillover effects: more service enterprises enter the market, new employment opportunities are created, and local product groups gain broader access to visitors under higher service standards.
Accordingly, hospitality, culinary services, retail, logistics, and experiential tourism sectors in Van Don are expected to gain renewed growth momentum.
The inauguration of Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don thus marks a new development milestone for Van Don tourism and for Quang Ninh Province more broadly. The project contributes to expanding the tourism development space, attracting higher-quality visitor flows, and gradually positioning Van Don and Bai Tu Long Bay as emerging resort destinations in Northern Vietnam and nationwide—laying a foundation for long-term sustainable growth.
